Molly Chimhanda is a program management and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) consultant with over 15 years of experience across Africa, the Arab region, and Southeast Asia. Her expertise lies in designing and managing complex, multi-country projects, integrating knowledge management and MEL systems to drive evidence-based decision-making and impactful outcomes.

Molly’s career includes significant roles at WAN-IFRA Women in News, where she supports gender and media-focused programs in 16 countries. She has developed program management tracking systems, streamlined data migration processes, and trained teams on MEL frameworks, ensuring high standards of accountability and reporting. Her contributions extend to designing surveys, conducting impact studies, and coordinating cross-regional research on topics such as sexual harassment in the media and women’s leadership.

With a strong academic foundation, including a postgraduate diploma in knowledge and information systems management and an MA in international affairs, Molly combines technical expertise with practical experience. Passionate about using data to inform program strategy, she thrives in roles that require innovative approaches to knowledge management and stakeholder collaboration.

Based in New Zealand, Molly is committed to advancing gender equality and media development through programs that are inclusive, results-driven, and informed by local and global insights.
