We provide rich, evidence-based analysis and actionable recommendations
Evaluative processes like assessments, reviews or evaluations help organizations understand what’s working and where adjustments are needed in the context of their activities. Whether assessing needs, reviewing program performance or evaluating organizational processes, what is common about these approaches is that they build from a set of key questions.

We begin by getting to know clients in order to understand where key questions arise to set about developing a process to collect the necessary evidence to answer those questions. Evidence comes through interviews, surveys, observations or document analysis. We use tools and techniques like stakeholder analysis, contextual scanning, and risk assessment, which help organizations understand the environment in which they operate. We are innovative with quantitative and qualitative approaches.

In community settings we are skilled users of participatory rural appraisal methods such as community mapping, where we engage directly with local communities to understand their perspectives, using tools like social mapping or problem trees to visualize issues and identify priorities.

The evidence we gather is carefully corroborated and used to analyze strengths, gaps and opportunities for improvement. By triangulating qualitative and quantitative data from these methods, we can produce rich, evidence-based assessments that provide actionable recommendations and frameworks for management systems. The point of the exercise is to learn and grow, to identify what works and where changes are needed and how to monitor effectively. Our goal is to provide practical and actionable insight that can help managers improve.
